Me and Lasting Temporary

Spent, half-empty, and holding on to what's left of my adrenalin. I didn't realize 'til now that something so easy could be so tiring. Day in and day out, the trash are piling up my bin. As the sun waves away with a promise of the same tomorrow, I use my feet to force down the brimful of rubbish to make way for more.

'Til when will I keep choosing temporary comfort over wonder and zeal. I can see the price of my sacrifices on the tear stains on my pillow in the morning.

Will I be another happy phantom? Will tomorrow be the last?
